About KRPA
The Kansas Recreation and Park Association is a non-profit organization established in 1948 and is dedicated to the promotion, servicing and advocacy of the recreation, parks and leisure services profession.
The association provides a variety of services, including education and training, legislative advocacy, communication services, certification, networking, external representations, along with awards and recognition.
The association has more than 900 members in seven different categories - Professional, Association, Institution, Student, Commercial, Agency and Organization. Members are professionals working for local city or county recreation and park agencies or recreation commissions.
KRPA has five branch membership groups, including Aquatics, Park and Natural Resources, Recreation, Citizen Board Members and Therapeutic Recreation. In addition, KRPA has a contract services agreement with the Kansas Park Law Enforcement Association.
