Dawn Grosdidier Wins KRPA Special Election
Dawn Grosdidier, assistant director of Lenexa Parks and Recreation, is the new Kansas Recreation and Park Association president-elect. Dawn, along with Doug Kupper of Wichita Parks and Recreation, volunteered to be on the special election ballot following the resignation of Randi Clifford, who served as the 2007 president-elect through October.
Dawn, who has served on the KRPA Board of Directors the past two years, along with all of the 2008 board members will be sworn into office Jan. 25 as part of the KRPA Conference and Trade Show Closing Breakfast.
She will become the 51st president in KRPA history (president's served two-year terms from 1967 through 1988) and just the fifth female to lead the association. KRPA will be celebrating its 60th Anniversary in 2008.
