This hands-on workshop will cover essential maintenance practices, industry best practices, and advanced techniques to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your facilities. Schedule: 9:00 AM: Registration Opens 9:30 AM– 10:30 AM: Morning Session: Memorial Hall, a 113-year-old municipal auditorium, has long served as a cornerstone of Downtown Hutchinson. Throughout its history, the City of Hutchinson has faced recurring challenges in determining the building’s most effective use. Today, rising costs and significant deferred maintenance once again place the facility at a crossroads. This presentation will explore the recently completed Historic Preservation and Reuse Plan, outline future visions for the building, and highlight common maintenance challenges encountered in historic facilities. 10:30 AM – 11:15 PM: Tour Memorial Hall 11:15 PM - 12:00 PM: Lunch 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Afternoon Session: Action sports facilities, such as skate parks and bike parks, bring unique opportunities—and challenges—for communities.
